A while back I stated that John Mellencamp was one of my earliest musical heroes. Well this time I want to write about a band that has been, without a doubt, the biggest musical influence of my entire life, and that is The Black Crowes. It had not even been 2 weeks since I witnessed a nasty Black Crowes concert when Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band rolled into town for a concert at Conseco Fieldhouse.
