I don&#039;t blame you, I can&#039;t stand most of it myself, but Metal IS presently influencing the vast majority of new music coming out.  While it wasn&#039;t born in this day and age, it&#039;s got some of the most hard-core followings and is dictating how a lot of music is being written and performed.  I&#039;ve heard country songs with distortion guitar and if you sit for 15 minutes listening to the local hip-hop station, there it is again.  I think you&#039;ll enjoy some &#039;As I Lay Dying&#039; and &#039;All That Remains&#039;...if you&#039;re willing to give it a shot.</description>
